Philosophy/Mission Statement
Pediatric Care Group, P.A. was established in 1992 by Miguel A. Silva, M.D. We currently have two additional physicians in our group, Maria Martinez-Cruz, M.D. and Jaime I. Caballero, M.D.

Our purpose is to provide quality medical care and treatment to our patients. Each of our physicians and staff are committed to providing you and your children with prompt, courteous and professional treatment each time you visit our office.

We have created a beautiful facility in order to provide your children with a comfortable, pleasant surrounding when they come to see one of our physicians.

It is the mission of all our physicians and staff to ensure that you are knowledgeable about the care your child is receiving; that you trust your child has been well taken care of and all of your questions are answered.

Appointments
When you call for an appointment the receptionist will inquire as to the nature of the problem. This information is confidential and is used to help ascertain the length of time required for your appointment. Emergencies will be worked into the schedule. If after 5 p.m. we will extend our hours. We also offer early morning hours for sick visits.

No Show Fee
In order to provide the best possible service and availability to all our patients, please call us as early as possible if you know you will need to reschedule your appointment. There is a no show fee if an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

Prescription Refills
We require 24 hour notice for prescription refills. Request for prescription refills should be made between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. It is the patient's responsibility to call the pharmacy, and the pharmacy will fax in a request to our office. Prescriptions are not automatically refilled and your chart must be reviewed by the physician. Therefore, prescriptions are not refilled after office hours or on weekends.

Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your estimated patient portion must be paid at the time of service. As a service to our patients, we will bill insurance companies for services and allow them 45 days to render payment. After 60 days, you are responsible for the entire balance, paid-in-full. If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
